This is just to say thank you to Alfie for ordering those great t-shirts and lugging them to the Y, Fort Apache, Little Kabul, his Momma's house, your girlfriend's house, on the train, etc. They look great in black and orange.

Got in a while ago from the Red Bulls vs Chicago Fire game. They (RB) won 1-0. Juan Pablo Angel scored the only unanswered goal of the night. This was my 4th Rb game of the season and thus far they've won every game that I've attended. I think I bring them luck, perhaps I should be bestowed some form of sainthood?
Anyway Daniel, Tesfa, Rahsaan, Joshua (big Hershey), Phil, Mark, Jacob (my nephew) and myself went. Thanks to Rahsaan and his FC Harlem comrade Irv Smalls we were granted access to the field for pre-game warm up and post game activities (where we met the players etc). It was cool standing on plastic grass that some of the greatest coke sniffers ran across (Lawrence Taylor NY Giants) and the biggest child support dodger (Mark Gastineau NY Jets)not to mention Pele played here too (NY Cosmos. So we had the honor of standing in formation as the Red Bulls and Chicago Fire ran out onto the field
until the conclusion of the singing of the star spangled banner (by some unknown white chick)...guess it was better than Rosanne Barr during the world series.
Anyway this is my contribution to this Blog.
I think back approx a year ago when I came to the Y and there was a relative barren dessert now we have an o explosion of ethnicities and nationalities not to mention potential networking base that we have.
