A message from Alfie: I'd like to thank all you guys for showing up tonight!

It was a pleasure meeting Kai's and Lee's girlfriends respectively. Papa came back nice and ashy from Africa; Amos nice and red from his cross country tour; Yago and his new tales from the wonder-wild world of unemployment; Tesfa and his pecking at his food like a fawn near a stream in Bear Mountain. Tyrone (eyes nice and big) mumbling to himself, "Debe....stay debe (lamb dish)," before he punctures it with his fork; John with his freshly twisted locks and tie with sneakers (fresh liberal white man look, with a wild look in his eye for bloody revolution); Charles (new addition to the group) with a the look of bewilderment at John, guessing "hmmm....how does he get his hair likethat?"; Dan - constant gansta lean as he ploughs down the chicken dish, with Ben next to him....watching his wallet as he is sandwiched between Dan and Tyrone...And let's not forget Rahsaan......mama (wife) calls and he scampers like bambi!!!

I must say I had a great time! Thank you guys for your friendship,authenticity, sincerity, comradeship, and above all mutual love and respect.
